Share the Love

Should you be in St. John's in mid-February, you might want to come by A Good Yarn. I will teaching a workshop on drop spindle spinning. Here is the class description as posted on ravelry and their website:

Lots of people have been asking for it, so here it is!!! Learn to make your own handspun yarn with the Drop Spindle Workshop with Newfoundland fibre artist, Robyn Love of Wee Ball Yarns

In this hands on workshop you’ll learn fibre basics (where it comes from, how it is collected, qualities of different breeds of sheep, raw fleece, and processing fleece), How to card your fibre, Introduction to the spindle (history, types, basics of technique), And plenty of time and fibre to practice & experiment with, and, of course, Robyn will be there to answer all of your questions.

What you leave with: Your spindle, 1 oz of practice fibre, spindling and resource handouts, plus your very own wee ball of yarn, handspun by YOU!

One day only! Tues., Feb. 15th - 6pm to 9pm

Cost: $50 +HST — All Materials Included (spindle, class practice fibre, and take-home fibre…$20+ value). Already have your own spindle? No problem, let us know at registration and your cost will be $45 instead.
