Crescit Eundo -- It Grows as it Goes

Ah, those days of unfettered racism and environmental destruction.

From all that I have been hearing and despite our best efforts, it seems that we haven't managed to kill the magic of New Mexico yet.

Get out the atlas, honey!  We have ourselves a road trip!

Wow! That was fun! I remember our family trip to New Mexico - I loved it - we went to Gallup (Indian Capitol of the World!!!Never mind Bombay) and went to Kit Carson's birth place and on a later trip went to Carlsbad Caverns where the Mary Maxim sweater my aunt had knitted saved my life as I tripped into the Bottomless Pit - my dad grabbed the hearty knit thing and I was saved for yet another day. Oh I am so envious of your trip! Have a blast and send postcards...

Whoa - amazing story of "how knitting saved my life"! I love it.

We won't be heading out until February, so a while to plan yet. But making the decision of where to go was a biggie. It will be fun, no doubt.

Robyn: This film is just great! The primary difference I see between then and now is the cars we drive and the clothes we wear...much of the rest of it is still very recognizable. It's going to be so great to have you in our hood!

What? No spinning wheel? Would I share nav duties with Finn, or supplant him? And can my family and work spare me for however long your vacation is? It is long yes? There's an S after the word week? You've got it coming! You've earned that S! ;)

Ah, but you have forgotten that I now happily own a travel wheel that can be put into a little bag. It is definitely coming! And yes, there is an "s" at the end of week. Increasingly, it looks like two weeks, or around 15 days. Surely Rochester can survive without you for 15 days!
