In the weeks before the solstice, full daylight gets increasingly rare.

but you are so far north--twilight last for hours! I know and love the word gloomin--but i grew up on the word twilight. and it, (like the hour or so before dawn) is a wonderful part of the day.

I agree Helen - it is a wonderful time of day. Although I admit when it begins at about 1:30 p.m., I find myself getting a little panicked that I am doing enough while the sun shines!
